Thank you for visiting our FOOD-SAFETY Bandana-Guide website! Shannon Enterprises been around since 2018, designing Bandanas printed with various safety related information.

Who doesn't love a Bandana? They have literally hundreds of uses! You can google it--there are actually books written on the subject.

​

I think we can all agree that safety is important in whatever we do--at work or at play. The thing is, many of us learn safe practices for this or that, but if we don't use those practices often, we tend to forget them. 

​

The most effective way of learning anything is through repetition. Did you know, that when your brain receives the same information five to seven times over a given period, that your brain will commit that information to your long-term memory? It's true!

​

So if you have a continual reminder of important information, let's say it's a safety protocol, at some point you will remember that safety protocol forever!

​

And what better continual reminder could there be than to have that needed information always ready-at-hand, right when you need it.

​

That's why, when you have a Bandana-Guide printed with the safety information you need, and that Bandana-Guide is in your pocket, or hanging in a strategic place in front of you, you will have the opportunity to refer to it as often as necessary, and in five to seven glances at it you will commit that important information to your long-term memory.

There are Forty-Eight Million Foodborne Illnesses reported every year in the United States. That's one in seven of our population. And that's just the number that are reported!

​

Unfortunately this number is on the rise due to the three factors the food industry is currently facing, 1) understaffing, which sometimes causes the hiring of, shall we say, "not our first choice in an employee", who may not be so easily-trained in food-safety procedures,  2) a younger staff that is easily distracted, and 3) more seniors being employed in the food industry who have a tendency to forget sometimes.

Regardless of what you now do in your food business to fend off a foodborne illness originating in your facility, you'll find FOOD-SAFETY Bandana-Guides to be a welcomed asset. Bandana-Guides will greatly help in training existing staff and new hires, and they'll remind us when we're distracted and when we forget.

Likewise, as careful as we can be cooking at home, many of us have never even been educated in the proper handling of food. FOOD-SAFE Bandana-Guides  are really all any of us  need to keep our families safe!
